Latest noteProgressDateDec 27, 2022ProjectHummingbirdMood💜I am a beginner at crocheting, and this is the fourth project Ive ever worked on. I know it says intermediate but I definitely think a beginner can do this project as well if they put the work in. I thought color changing was going to be hard but after looking up a video online I found it was actually easy! I made this as an ornament for my moms Christmas tree and she absolutely LOVES it ! Ill definitely be making her more just for fun because hummingbirds are her favorite! If you are thinking about getting this pattern, DO IT!! I highly recommend ! The pattern was very easy to follow! For me being a beginner it took me about 2 hours to do the body, 25 min for each wing, the tail probably took me 10 min I forgot to time that one. For the beak I actually didnt use floral wire like it says, I used copper wire with plastic wrapping and wrapped it with brown yarn because I wanted the beak to be a bit thicker. I used red for the body, grey for the little neck part on the body, tan for the wings, and a light green for the belly, I also put some black yarn at the top of the head so it could hand on the tree. All yarn used was from the dollar store (so you dont have to get expensive yarn for it to turn out great!) Happy crocheting, you got this!
