Excellent pattern, easy to follow. So much fun.
I decided to crochet the face features instead of using felt.
For the eyes and checks I used a standard circle.
1. In MR, SC x 6 (6)
2. SC Inc in each St (12)
3. Slip St in next St and FO, leave long tail so you can sew peices onto Football
I used the same pattern for both. Both 12 stiches, but with the eyes I used a larger yarn weight then the cheeks that is why they came out bigger. As I wanted them larger then the cheeks.
