For eyes: I crocheted some eyes rather than using safety eyes or beads. This is so it is kid and pet safe. There‘s many ways you can do these crochet eyes but this is how I do mine. Ch 3, sl st into 1st ch., insert a sc into ea st. [3 st. Total], ch 1 & fasten off leaving a few inch tail to tie / weave into the project to secure the eye. Hope this helps add another option for the already great pattern
For step 7: When you sc the 18 sc around, skip the stitches where your legs are (from the previous row; step 6), as they don‘t count as stitches. (If you sc into them, it will increase the stitch count in that row by 2 , making it 20 stitches.) LEGS DON‘T COUNT AS STITCHES
for step number 3 : make sure you DO NOT count the 5dc‘s of the bobble stitch when you‘re sc around in the following steps of the pattern!!! I had myself so confused over the dang bobbles lol Ex. I did 5 dc‘s for the bobble, so I put my sc stitch into the 3rd dc for that following row [where you‘re doing 18 sc around - steps 3-5]
I slip stitched back into the stitch that the leg is coming from to give it more security. My bobble stitches consist of 5 dc‘s together.
