For the top chain, I ended up adding 10 chains, and I think it could use 5-10 more for the Large size. I really like the shirt, I think for making it a larger size adding a few more patches, 1 row on either side of the ties, could be beneficial. It definitely fits more on the Medium side
Finished back, I realized there wasnt a step for adding the ties to the shirt, so used one of the post photos for a guide on how to insert it. I used about 75g of the final color.
Finished front
Mine is about 74” inches, so a little shorter than recommended.
Finished the border, just the chain left
All connected
Finished patches, now Im working on connecting them
Finished with the 3rd color and used about 50g of it. Finishing up tucking in tails then going to work on the final row.
Just realized that I never added a picture when I changed which yarn Im using. This is a Rayon from Bamboo yarn called Truboo
Working in rounds, laid everything out to get an idea of where Im at.
Finished with the 2nd color, used about 30-40g of the second color in the light/3 weight.
All my middles are finished, used about 15-20g of the first color in light/3 weighted yarn.
This one feels a bit askew. I will probably make an extra patch
Just realized that I miscounted on the second round and my middle in uneven. But Ill pay more attention in the next pieces.
Restarted with a lighter weight yarn. Was using a cotton in weight medium/4 switched to light/3 for better sizing
I realized with the chain after the slip stitch I should be fully closing off the stitch instead of leaving it open because the next color will attach in a different spot.
Straightforward start, curious about the chain 1 after the slip stitch, but I havent ready ahead yet. Later note: didnt realize that I was supposed be closing the loop after each color/round. The next color will get slip-stitched on in a different spot to start the next row.
Each of these balls is 50g, or 87yards. They are 85% cotton and 15% polyester
