I wanted to find one that would be easy for her to put under her arms if she needed to. This is PERFECT! I used yarn weight of 5 though (it was the colors I wanted: pink (breast cancer), purple (her favorite color), and green (calming) ) with a hook size of 4. It has turned out amazing and I love it so much! I hope she enjoys it as well, and can find use in it.
