June Monthly Challenge: Crafted with Pride
Here is my make for this months Ribblr challenge! I made the Donnie the duck pattern by @scarletskies!
I begin crochet over two years ago through a program in my school, every Wednesday we would learn something new for a term.
One term I chose to do crochet as I had picked up a pikachu crochet kit and had no idea what to do! My very first project was a bag to learn the basic stitches such as single crochet. After mastering those, I was hooked and started watching YouTube videos on how to make amigurumi as my parents had recently implemented a ban on buying plushies as I owned too many!
I chose to make a duck as one of my furst amigurmis was a duck which I had gifted to a friend of mine, nowadays I can‘t believe I was proud of it!
I made my duck a little rainbow party hat, the rainbow in representation of the incredible and diverse community on Ribblr as well as around the world and with people close to me!
And obviously the party hat is a symbol of celebrating all the things that make each one of us unique!
This project is a celebration of my journey of falling in love with crochet!
