The top game piece is a basic sewn stitch with yarn needle, and the bottom is done with a single crochet stitch.
Time to stitch some X’s and O’s!
No note of this in the pattern, but remember to ch 2 before doing your first DC in the MC. Also, when completing your 10DC, join with SS and ch 2 before beginning your increases. It helps make the circle perfectly round.
I needed up having to chain 100 in order for it to be long enough to weave through and have the game board lie flat when ready for play
Grid completed using single Crochet over existing stitches. Ends woven in, and I flipped the bag inside out to tie off ends to ensure more security.
I opted for single crochet, as a “single slip stitch” was not visible directly on top of the row.
Folded in half and stitched together with SC on long sides. Placed beside magazine for size comparison. This thing is MASSIVE!
