I also had an idea for the ice cream part. For row 6 i think it would be cool to do: sc, hdc in the first stitch and hdc, slst in the FLO. Then row 7 working in the back loop only continue with your sc, dec. Then sew the ice cream to the cone using row 7. This will give it that "scoop" look.
