Hope friend will love it. i used Bernat Blanket yarn, color Inkwell, size 10 Knitters Pride ginger Special Interchangable Needle with a 20" cord. The pattern calls for size 11 but I knit loosely and usually need to go down a needle size. the size was adult and it is perfect.
