Second panel done and both are slip stitched together! Loving the way this is coming together!

I've just clocked that the split stitches on my first purple row down at the bottom are one stitch too far to the right. My bad will have to frog it

First panel done! Landed on these colours. The photo isn't doing it justice so I'm determined to get a better one after blocking and assembling. The only thing which is confusing me is I only have 38 rows but the pattern says I should have 40. I've counted a few times to check but keep landing on 38. I used 6 colours, 2 rows of colour at a time, repeated a total of 3 times (36). The first and last have 1 extra row each, totalling 38 can't quite figure out how I'm meant to be on 40. But it looks right, so I'm going to let it go and crack on with the second panel!

I haven't settled on my colours yet so I'm going to see how I feel as I go! I've started with white, and I'm eyeing up yellows and oranges. I'm using Aran weight acrylic wool with a 4.5mm hook.
