This pattern was really simple to follow, but I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. Simply because all of the color changing can be frustrating for newbies. The only change I made was with the beak. I started with a mr of 6 rather then 4, and I also didn't crochet the third row.
Overall, this is a great pattern and I think it was worth the three hours it took to make it!
I used Red Heart Super Saver Yarn and a 4.50mm hook
