Short strap After DC down the chains and before turning to the opposite side, instead of putting 1sc in the beginning ch3, I put 2sc. There are no instructions on where to put the buttons.
Long strap After DC down the chains and before turning to the opposite side, instead of putting 1sc in the beginning ch3, I put 2sc. There are no instructions on where to put the buttons.
Shell base underside with border attached Put wrong sides of shell base and shell top together, and single crocheted around the entire edge. Turned right side out and sewed the border on.
I think I want to crochet the shell base to the shell top with sc, but maybe leave an opening. I‘m contemplating making it into a bag or backpack.
Spikes attached to the shells
Spikes completed Decided to use white for the points
Spikes I did them a little different, so they‘d be a little taller and pointier

Made 1/3-hexagons for the gaps. We‘ll see how it all comes together in the end. Instructions for 1/3-hexagon -MC, ch5, (2DC, ch2, 2dc, ch2, DC) into the MC -ch3, turn, (ch2, DC into ch space, DC, DC in sp between 2dc from previous round, DC, DC in ch sp)* repeat once, ch2, DC into top ch of beginning ch3, FO. If I did these again, I think I‘d make the beginning ch5 just a ch3 and remove the ch2 at the end, so there‘s no spaces
Shell pieces connected
After the beginning ch3, I didn‘t DC into first stitch, instead I DC between stitch 1 and 2, DC into second stitch then DC into ch gap, ch2. Then the next repeat I started in the gap as instructed. After doing all of the repeats, I then DC into the last gap again and then sl st to top of beginning chain 3.
Step 2
Shell plates Step 1 I think at the end there are supposed to be 2ch before sl st into top ch of beginning ch3
