Dragonfly on the left is made with Bernat Blanket Yarn and 6mm hook and on the right is as written with worsted weight yarn and 3.5mm hook. I would definitely agree with the designer that it is an intermediate to advanced pattern with the sewing and embroidery but the an ambitious beginner could certainly take a good shot as the instructions are very clear and they have even included additional videos to assist.
