Finished up this cutie, but will be adding some more to it soon! Pattern is well done, clear and easy to follow. My suggestions can be found below, but a final note would be to add a picture of the weaving through the leaf just because people might not understand, especially as it is labeled for beginners, but that's totally optional. For ref, I used Parfait Chunky and Baby Snuggle with a 5mm hook and 18mm safety eyes. My lad ended up about 9 inches tall
For the leaf you might just combine steps 1 and 2, otherwise I think the final st count is off. A picture of the finished leaf here for easy reference would be a bonus ^.^
My lemon lad just needs his leaf!
You might have people stuff the tip a little earlier as it can be a harder to reach space without a tool by the time we get deeper into the 42 st repeat rounds. Maybe about midway through those rounds give a cue to stuf the tip of the lemon. Unless we don't need to stuff that part, then feel free to disregard ^.^ Speaking of cues, where it instructs to start stuffing, perhaps add/clarify: "Start stuffing and continue stuffing little by little as you work each round." That way people don't get to those final decreases and suddenly remember they have to stuff it through a little hole
Re: my last journal entry, a photo something like this would be great. That way people don't have to scroll to reference.
About to place the safety eyes and everything still looks good, but I have a couple of suggestions: 1. Indicate the size of your completed lemon, if possible. Even though others might use different yarn/hook, it is helpful to have that baseline figure, especially for anyone who wants to make sure they have adequate materials to complete the project or who wants to emulate your creation (in terms of size/look). 2. For the same reason as above, maybe include the size safety eyes you used for your plush. If you want to make it clear the pattern is totally customizable you can say something in the intro or materials section like: My lemon lad used (x weight or brand yarn) and (xmm) safety eyes; it was crocheted with (xmm) hook and measures (x) . You're welcome to use any size of yarn/hook/eyes but just be aware it will change the size of the finished product. 3. Including a photo showing the eyes on the plush (like a head shot) would be really helpful for eye placement or any cues for how far apart you placed your sample lemon.
Startedd my lad today, and so far everything looks clear!
