Hood Edging: -Rows 5-7 = ....dc2tog x 2, dc x 2, DC2TOG X 2....
Edging - Front Pieces: -Stitch count after full row 1 (1.1-1.5) should be 360 (not 355) -Stitch breakdown for row 1 = [347dc, 5dc2tog, and 4 ch2 spaces] -Stitch count row 2 should be 365 (not 363) -Stitch breakdown for row 1 = [352dc, 5dc2tog, and 4 ch2 spaces] -As with the back piece, after row 2, my piece measures: head point to leg point - 24” arm point to arm point - 28” (using a medium (4) weight 4 ply yarn and a 4mm hook) -Stopping after edging row 2 and moving on to next part of pattern.
Front Piece - 2nd Side: -Row 2 = [9dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 3 = [14dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 4 = [19dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 5 = [24dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 6 = [29dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 7 = [34dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 8 = [39dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 9 = [44dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 10 = [49dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 11 = [54dc and 2 ch2 spaces]
Front Piece - 1st Side: -all odd rows = skip 1st st and continue as written -Row 2 = [9dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 3 = [14dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 4 = [19dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 5 = [24dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 6 = [29dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 7 = [34dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 8 = [39dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 9 = [44dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 10 = [49dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -Row 11 = [54dc and 2 ch2 spaces] -First leg odd rows = skip 1st st and continue as written -First leg even rows = skip 1st st and continue as written with final dc in top of ch2 -First leg odd rows = make note to make 2 dec per row (1dc, dec, Xdc, dec, 1dc)
Edging: -Row 1.1 ch2 and flip, SKIP 1ST ST, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next st. Dc in top of ch2 -Row 1.5 will result in [395 dc and 10 ch] or [395 dc and 5 ch2 spaces] (rather than 405) -Rows 2-4 lines 2 and 3 should be flipped since the long points are worked first, then the head points, working 1 long side last -Rows 2-4 dc2tog should skip only 1 st in the middle (not 2) -Row 2 will result in [405 dc and 10 ch] or [395 dc and 5 ch2 spaces] (rather than 415) -After row 2, my piece measures: head point to leg point - 24” arm point to arm point - 28” (using a medium (4) weight 4 ply yarn and a 4mm hook) -Stopping after edging row 2 and moving on to next part of pattern.
Back Star Point - Arms and Legs: -After joining yarn with a sl st, should then make a ch2 before starting row 1 -Odd rows (3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, and 21) all have possible extra ch2 at beginning of row before dc2tog (same as note for Back Star Point - Head) -Even rows (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20) should add 1 more dc to reach end of row and to meet st count (row 4 = dc x 19, row 6 = dc x 17, etc.)
0-3 Month Size: Back Star Point - Head: -Possible extra ch2 at beginning of each row, from rows 2+ -the ”ch2 and flip” at the end of the rows should cover that ch2 already, so the ”ch2” at the beginning of the following row implies there should be an additional ch2, resulting in ch4
