Latest noteProgressDateFeb 05, 2024ProjectWide-brim two-tonebeanieMood😊I used a 6.5mm hook with unknown stash yarn in aran/worsted weights.
Measured height: 9"
Add 2" for brim: 11"
Circumference: 22"
I had to do some math to change the stitch counts for a 22" hat:
Starting chain 41
HDC 28 in MC, HDC 12 in CC
This beanie worked up really nicely. Definitely a good project for beginners or folks wanting practice with color changes. Per the pattern, I kept my inactive color on the Right Side which left the other side very neat. I didn't understand why to add the rectangle but can see how it can be used in interesting ways
In this pattern the even rows will have the Right Side facing
Row 7: End last row of ribbed panel with WS facing. Ch 1, turn. Do not finish off
I finished this beanie at the library. A child put it on their head so I gave it to them after taking a picture
