Description
Welcome to Alabaster Rocking Horse!

Rocking Horses became undeniably popular amongst all family households since their creation in the 17th Century the earliest recorded documentation of one being in the Will of a British Noblewoman in 1610.

Either lavishly ornate or crudely carved, this
piece pays homage to those simple joys of the past, and would serve as a lovely wall piece for a Nursery or otherwise.

As far as tools required, there is not much left to say, however I shall list some general tips and recommendations below when creating this as a tapestry crochet project.

Since there will be rows with multiple changes between your two colours, I would HIGHLY recommend using the floating method for this and all tapestry pieces. CaitsCrochetCottage has a fantastic video explaining the method, which is linked in the pattern below.

Materials
Yarns
- X2 of any colour worsted weight yarn (4mm) I would recommend you select two high contrasting colours to achieve a more defined end result of your work.
Hooks
- Either a 4mm or 4.5mm size crochet hook a slightly larger hook will help with practicing tension if you are concerned about your stitches becoming too tight.
Accessories
- Yarn scissors or anything to cut with! - Optional stitch markers (if you would like to mark your start and end stitches as you work each row).
