Tried the Scarlett Strawberry Cardigan pattern, and want to make more? The Blueberry and Strawberry Vine Cardigans are chunky finger knit cardigans that features jumbo, pre-looped blanket yarn and no needles! These are patterns are very similar to the original Scarlett Strawberry Cardigan, and they both share techniques, so they've been bundled for a more convenient knitting/crochet experience.

This pattern ONLY includes instructions on how to make the sleeves, berry and leaf closure appliques for the Blueberry Cardigan, as well as all the berry and vine appliques for the Strawberry Vine Cardigan. The base of these cardigan can be made with the Scarlett Strawberry Cardigan pattern/tutorial. The pattern includes the materials, gauge, detailed instructions for crochet and assembly, as well as crochet charts, hand-drawn diagrams, and sewing instructions.

I would say that the most difficult part of this pattern was explaining the sewing process, so be sure to check out the Youtube tutorial to watch me give detailed instructions!

This is my sixth pattern I've written for this yarn, and the first pattern Im making just for the appliques! Im excited to walk you through this :) The techniques are simple; with hand sewing and crochet skills, youll be able to make these appliques in two days, and recreate the full cardigans in about a week! (This includes time to stretch and relax your hands; youll need it!)

Gauge:
The base of the cardigan is knitted, with the gauge as listed on the cover
The appliques are crocheted. One puff stitch is 1.25 inches tall and 1.125 inches wide. Once sewn on:
- The small berry will be 2 inches wide and 2 inches tall
- The large berry will be 3 inches wide at the widest point, and 3.5 inches tall
- The extra large berry will be 3.75 inches wide at the widest point, and 3.75 inches tall

***FOR SIZING, PLEASE SEE THE SCARLETT STRAWBERRY CARDIGAN PATTERN/TUTORIAL: This pattern includes sizing information to make ONLY the Blueberry Cardigan sleeves. The cardigan is written for a size S, but includes suggested measurements and instructions for sizes XS to 5XL as well.

Care Instructions:
Wash cold with like colors
Gentle cycle
Lay flat to dry in a space with good ventilation
Reshape as needed

PLEASE NOTE: as of 11/21/22 to the present, this pattern has a few placeholder pictures due to a material sensitivity on my part, and I have replaced them with photos used for the Scarlett Strawberry cardigan pattern. Thus, you will see some pictures of the berry appliques in a red shade of yarn instead of blue, or with a different color background, but they are still complete with instructions!
