Description

I designed the Big Dog Bandana Crochet Pattern for the big guys, the giant breed dogs, but have written the pattern to include sizes Extra small through Extra large (5 sizes).
This pattern includes written pattern for all sizes in both plaid and in solid color. The extra large solid color Big Dog Bandana is available on my website.
Instead of tying it around the neck (because then we’re getting into shawl size territory for the giant breeds), I’ve designed the Big Dog Bandana to slide onto the dog’s collar. This slide on design cuts down on bulk around the dog’s neck and makes for a more comfortable bandana.
Sizing
Extra Small to fit collar size 8"-12" finished size approx. 4" W x 3.5" D
Small to fit collar size 10"-14" finished size approx. 5" W x 4.5" D
Medium to fit collar size 14"-20" finished size approx. 7"W x 6" D
Large to fit collar size 18"-23" finished size approx. 8.5" W x 7" D
Extra Large to fit collar size 23"-28+“ finished size approx. 11" W x 9" D
It is designed to slide onto your dog's collar instead of tying around it's neck.

Because of the plaid, I would classify the Big Dog Plaid Bandana as an intermediate level pattern. The solid color Big Dog Bandana is beginner friendly. This pattern uses Half Double Crochet stitches and Half Double Crochet decreases.

This pattern requires less than 100 yards of a #4 worsted weight 100% cotton yarn for all sizes. The pattern has been extensively tested for accuracy and size by crochet pattern testers and tech edited.
