The Cosmos Beanie is worked flat in a modified Even Moss Stitch which creates a ribbed texture. To modify the Even Moss Stitch and establish the ribbing, following Row 1, only work in the back loops of stitches from prior rows. Expand the width/circumference to create a more loose fitting hat by adding more rows. Remember to account for extra yardage required if modifications to the length are desired prior to seaming.
