In November of my senior year of college I developed severe pelvic pain. I went through a couple different GYNs trying to get answers for what we thought was endometriosis, a full-system disease where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows anywhere in your body. I later found out that my pain was caused by a different disease, but in that time of uncertainty I discovered a group of endometriosis warriors who were seeking validation and relief from their pain. That's when I created the Cuterus Uterus plushie. What was first a soft companion for me to take to appointments became something I sold to women who had endured many surgeries and so much pain because of this disease.

This pattern includes instructions for the basic uterus, but it is simple to leave off one of the Fallopian tubes, remove the ovaries, and add spots of endometriosis to your uterus.
