Welcome to my free pattern for a bookmark! This pattern is super simple and can be done in literally and color your heart desires. I was inspired to write this pattern when I went to college with a lot of books to read and yarn to crochet with, but I forgot all of my bookmarks! This simple fix is sure to come in handy for you as well.

My one piece of advice is that the thinner your yarn, the better results you are going to have, as you don't want the bookmark to be so thick the book can't close. Length of the bookmark is prone to variation depending on how long the crocheter makes the foundation change and how tight/loose the stitches are made. It may also vary depending on the weight of the yarn used.
