This is a basic knit hand towel and from here, the sky's the limit. This hand towel has a garter stitch ribbing and a stockinette stitch interior. This is made with 100% cotton yarn but can be made with another natural fiber -- as long as it's an absorbent fiber.

A quick weekend project it can be done in a variety of sizes to suit any need. Make little squares and use them like a napkin, make a larger rectangle and have a decent sized hand towel. The variety of color in kitchen cotton also makes this a really easy way to have a festive touch in any room there in.

Tip: Wool would not be a good fiber to knit these (or any item you want to get wet because it can shrink or smell). I would recommend sticking to kitchen cotton, jute, or bamboo. I personally only use Lily Sugar n' Cream for any kitchen or bathroom project.
