This pattern makes a plush and wide scarf that's really sturdy. I recommend using Lion Brand Heartland for softness and texture. Hand washing and air drying is recommended to preserve the scarf longer.

Disclaimer: This is a pretty time-consuming project that took me 6 weeks to knit, but it was well worth my time. My whole family loves the scarf I made from this pattern.
