Decided to make him chunky! Had a bit of confusion with the feet as one of the stitches is listed as ”P” and I wasn't sure which stitch was required (puff stitch? picot stitch?) so just tried to match the picture as best I could and it worked out pretty great!

I am so thankful for this free pattern! As a beginner it was pretty easy to follow. I had some difficulty figuring out what 'P' stands for because it is not in the abbreviation list but I ultimately used the Picot Stitch. I still have to get used to sowing things onto the finished body but it turned out all right. Highly recommend for beginners and anyone who wants a cute platypus companion.

It's a bit wonky and very imperfect but it's a little platypus, the P in the pattern stands for the Pichot stitch I think. For some reason I had a bit of a hard time with the explanation of the beak but oh well. Now I'm searching for a free pattern of a tiny fedora

This is my very first crocheting project !
