Description
This color-blocked cardi is the perfect project for a beginner knitter! Worked in stocking stitch, and with no arm or neck shaping, this is a sweater that anyone can make. It is also a size inclusive pattern, with a size range of XS-5XL (measurements are given at the end of this description).

The fit is cropped and relaxed, with a drop shoulder effect and cute balloon sleeves! I have given suggested measurements, but you can also easily customize the length of the sweater and the fit of the neckline! This sweater is immensely cozy without being heavy or chunky. It has beautiful drape and is great for a variety of climates, depending on what you choose to wear it with!

To knit this sweater, you will need to know how to work in stocking stitch, twisted rib stitch (or 1x1 rib stitch), and do basic increases. I have included links to youtube tutorials throughout, so you can easily learn these techniques as you go along!

Materials used: 6mm and 7mm knitting needles, 300-350 grams of worsted yarn, and a tapestry needle for seaming. This would be a wonderful stash buster project, so I recommend using as much scrap yarn as you can!

If you want to follow my color-blocking instructions, and you're looking to buy yarn for this pattern, here are some options. The instructions in the pattern will be for 6 different colors, so you can get about 50 grams of each color!
- Big Twist Value Worsted Yarn from Joann's
- "I Love This Yarn" from Hobby Lobby
- Uptown Worsted from Universal Yarn
- 4 Seasons Spot Saver USA from Spotlight Stores
- Caron Simply Soft from Michael's

Materials
Yarns
Any worsted/medium weight yarn. I recommend using acrylic! You should need about 250-350grams, depending on the size you will be knitting. To get a color-block look, I do chunky stripes in a combination of 6 different colors. If you want to do the same, you can buy about 50grams of 6 different colors. You can also easily knit this in solid colors, or in a bunch of small stripes using scrap yarn. It’s entirely up to you! I will give instructions throughout the pattern on how to arrange the colors if you are using several.

Needles
6mm and 7mm. This will be knit flat, but I recommend using circulars, especially if you're making one of the larger sizes. This will ensure all the stitches can fit on your needles! 7mm needles can be hard to find, these are the ones I recommend!
