The Evil Queen, Griselda, was jealous of her stepdaughter Snow White's beauty. Queen Griselda had a magic mirror and her witch powers. When the mirror tells her Snow White is the most beautiful of all, Queen Griselda is above anger. She plots Snow White's demise. When the Woodman can't bring himself to kill Snow White, Griselda hatches a diabolically evil scheme to poison kind Snow White with an apple.

Jealousy is one of the seven deadly sins. It was jealousy that led Griselda to complete her heinous acts against Snow White. Thankfully, a handsome Prince brought loves first kiss to rescue her.
