This piece is a dreamy, romantic sweater perfect for layering or wearing on its own. It is made with lightweight yarn and a loose gauge in mind so that the stitches are loose and semi see-through. The fit is boxy and off-the-shoulder, and is made to measure (meaning that you can customize this piece completely to fit how you want). This sweater is also great as a transitional season piece (hello autumn!!), with ability to switch up the yarn for a thicker or lighter garment.

It is constructed by making granny squares for the base first. After sewing the squares together you'll make the neckline and the bottom hem. Lastly you will make the mesh sleeves. Each step will contain notes on how to adjust the pieces for your measurements / preferred fit. This pattern is made to measure, with tons of pictures for ease of use.

The difficulty level for this pattern is Intermediate / Advanced Beginner. Each step is explained in detail to make the instructions as easy to follow as possible. Even though it might look advanced the techniques used are pretty simple!

Materials:

-5 mm hook
-300 - 500 g dk weight yarn* Cotton is preferred for a lighter piece but it's totally up to you!
-Scissors
-Blocking materials (optional but highly recommended)
-Tapestry needle
-Stitch markers (optional)
-Measuring tape / ruler

*For a size small some testers used 300 g lightweight yarn. For my example piece (about a size medium) I used 500 g lightweight cotton yarn. I'd recommend an extra 75 g yarn for each size up, but keep in mind that this sweater is made to measure, not size graded.
