This hat is worked top down from crown to brim using Half Double Crochet and Waistcoat stitches. Work in continuous rounds. Do not chain 1 or slip stitch to join rounds. Use stitch marker to mark the first stitch, move marker up for each subsequent row. Increases in the brim create soft intentional ruffles.
