Description
This pattern is beginner-friendly. However, this is a pattern that takes a while to work up and I do advise beginning with smaller projects first as a total beginner.
This pattern uses four different colours, three for the squares and one for the ribbing. This cardigan is made in panels to avoid having to sew more than necessary.
This pattern is, unfortunately, made in one size (xs-l) which will fit differently depending on size. However, if you fall out of the category stated above you can choose to add in rows of squares or make the squares bigger to adjust the size ( If you choose to add rows make sure the front panels together have one less row of squares than the back panel). So instead of three panels of five, you will make three panels of seven. and the front panels will be made out of three panels of three on each side instead of three panels of two.
This pattern uses around 250-400 grams of yarn of each colour and about 75 grams for the ribbing. This depends on which size you will be making. I recommend using medium weight yarn.
The pattern uses US terminology. (Click the preference icon to change to UK)
