"Carla" is a ressource saving and simple upcycling project- plus it is really casual or chic, depending on your material choice and your styling.
For this dress, we'll change an old men's shirt into a cool dress, in combination with a fabric which you might already have at home! We'll work with something which is already here and create something new out of it. Apart from being very eco friendly we'll also take advantage of the fact that the shirt already comes with some details which we don't have to sew- such as the collar and the placket with the buttons.
Of course a lot of pattern and colour combinations are possible. I'm really into the combo stripes with african waxprint. But also the check with the african print is so nice! Just look through your fabric stash and visit your local thrift shop with this inspiration, I'm sure you'll find a combination that you love.
