About shop I am Izzy (pronouns they/them) and I am the creative behind Rainbow Riot Creations. I starting crocheting to make gifts for my friends and family, and through this discovered a passion for it. It's also a good way to keep my hands busy, and I find it really good for my mental wellbeing. I want to create things that are fun, colourful, and bring joy. I also strive to be sustainable in my crafting. This is why all the stuffing I use is made from recycled plastic bottles. I also ship through Sendle, Australias first 100% carbon neutral shipping company - and all my products are either shipped in cardboard boxes or compostable satchels made from corn (but please don't eat them). I designed a Mimikyu Hat pattern after being asked to by a housemate. They wanted to live out their best Pokemon Go trainer life. Soon after I made one for them I started making more and selling them on Etsy and at markets. This then led to a shiny alternative, and me releasing my first crochet pattern! The Pride Shrooms range was a part of a little new years resolution to myself, as an LGBT+ person that runs a store with rainbow in the name I felt it was time I created something gay. As a lesbian I am especially proud of the lesbian shroom, particularly because it is often hard to find nice lesbian merch.
