Hi there, how can we help?

I think someone copied my pattern. What can I do?

Pattern piracy is a real problem and one of our main missions is to fight against it. Copying someone else's work, using a copyrighted work or otherwise using someone else's work and presenting it as your own is strictly prohibited. With that in mind, it's important to note that there is a clear distinction between plagiarism and inspiration. Crafters often draw inspiration from similar sources. (e.g animals, food or even colors and shapes) Some designs may look similar, though the patterns could be completely different. We highly recommend researching your design idea before you start working on it to avoid future disputes. If you draw inspiration directly from another artist, we ask that you credit them in your pattern's intro section. Supporting one another benefits everyone in the crafting community. If you are certain that someone copied your work please report it to us - look for the flag icon at the bottom of that pattern listing. Please note: so we can investigate an alleged copied pattern or copyright violation we must get a report from the person/company who claims to be the original designer or own the copyright. Please provide as much evidence as possible. We take all reports very seriously and we investigate each and every report thoroughly. To determine if a particular work has been copied we take into account all evidence provided and investigate the pattern's unique data points.
