Hi there, how can we help?

I think someone copied my pattern. What can I do?

Pattern piracy is a real problem and one of our main missions is to stop it. Copying someone else's work - using a copyrighted design or presenting another person’s work as your own - is strictly prohibited. There is a clear difference between plagiarism and inspiration. Crafters often draw inspiration from shared sources (eg animals, food, colors or shapes) and some designs may look similar while still being different. We recommend researching your idea before you start and, when you draw direct inspiration from another artist, credit them in your pattern's intro. If you are certain someone copied your work, report the pattern using the flag icon at the bottom of the pattern listing. To investigate copyright claims we must receive a report from the person or company that claims to be the original designer or copyright owner - or from an authorized representative. Please provide as much evidence as possible - screenshots, links, original files, timestamps and any other supporting material. We investigate every report thoroughly and consider all evidence and the pattern's unique data points when deciding what action to take. If you cannot use the flag icon, Get in touch.
