Description
Hello everyone I made a new Hooded scarf inspired by the Sophie hood. Hope you enjoy making this as much as I did.

Friendly reminder : This is not a full tutorial video and not for beginners. I only share the techniques

Hurdle stitch tutorial : https://youtu.be/EyQTF9OYyhI?si=Ipv7wN5xSKPALXAd
Hurdle st follows 2 rows of 1x1 ribbing and 2 rows of garter st.

How to sew the back of the hood : https://youtu.be/JitY8BCtG6c

Abbreviations :
K - knit stitch
P - purl stitch
St(s)- stitch(es)
Sl - slip
K2tog - knit 2 st together
Kfb - knit front and back of the same stitch
Inc(s)- increase(s)
Dec(s) - decrease(s)
1x1 rib - repeats of K1 and P1
Garter st - repeats of K st
Psso - pass the slipped stitch over
Pso - pass the stitch over

Intro 00:00
The first 6 rows 01:16
The 2nd 6 rows 02:45
The 3rd 6 rows 04:05
Starting hood 05:55
Dec on hood/Step 1 06:52
Step 2 07:52
Step 3 09:20
Inc on hood/Step 1 10:14
Starting scarf 11:39
Dec on scarf 13:03
Cast off 13:31

❕Increases on the hood :
Step 1 ( 13 rows in total )
The last row is the 2nd garter row of Hurdle st (R13)

Step 2
Make an inc in every 3th row ( 18 rows in total )
Here are the inc rows : R3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 ( 6 incs )
- Knit 2 rows and make an inc in the R3
- The last row is the 2nd rib row of Hurdle st (R18)

Step 3
Make an inc in every 6th row ( 18 rows total )
Here are the inc rows : R6, 12, 18 ( 3 incs )
- Knit 5 rows and make an inc in the R6
- The last row is the 2nd garter row of Hurdle st (R18)

Measurements : S size
Scarf
Length - about 80 cm
Width - 25 cm

Hood :
Length - 22 cm
Width - 24 cm

If you want the scarf part long, you can make an inc in every 8th (10th) row or after the last inc on the 6th, you can add more rows without inc. But make sure the last row of the scarf is the first garter row of Hurdle st and width is 25 cm

Measurements and the count of sts depends on the yarn you use. I used very thin wool yarn.
