Description
This is an intermediate pattern and is meant to be very customizable where you can mix and match all characters in any order (apart from Calcifer)! You can make one a continuous dango or you can make the characters individually.

The characters included are:
From Spirited Away: Soot Sprites, No Face, Boh, Aogaeru, and Otori-Sama
From Howl's Moving Castle: Calcifer, Turnip Head, and Heen
From My Neighbor Totoro: the three Totoros, Catbus, and soot sprites
From Kiki's Delivery Service: Jiji and Lily
From Princess Mononoke: Kodamas
From The Boy and the Heron: Warawara

Skills needed are: color changing, embroidery, rejoining with new yarn, and crocheting onto other pieces.

This pattern and all parts are for PERSONAL use only! Please do not redistribute, translate, copy, claim the pattern as your own, sell, or publish any modifications without my expressed permission!

I suggest not selling the resulting plush. These characters are protected under copyright law and therefore you can be penalized for doing so! (I could too for providing the pattern and I have no problem deleting the pattern should it cause any trouble)

Here are my lil Studio Ghibli Dango's! I used a 3.5mm hook, a medium weight cotton yarn, a bulky faux fur yarn, and felt pieces for the eyes. This was an amazing pattern - the instructions were clear and easy to follow, especially thanks to the detailed notes the designer included for some of the more complicated steps. I also appreciated the reference photos provided for each character, it was helpful for figuring out the placement of the detailed pieces like the ears and eyes. I absolutely love how my dango's turned out, I had a great time making them and I'm excited to make more! I'd recommend this pattern to any Ghibli fans looking to make some cute lil friends

Ahh jiji and my soot look so cute together ! This pattern collection is so cute and customizable! I used a 4mm hook and chenille yarn so mine turned out quite big . But with a smaller hook you can have tiny guys

The little guys are super cute, and very easy too. I'll admit.. I wasn't too familiar with Studio Ghilbi (didn't even know it existed ) before I applied for this, but the designs are cute enough to be the specific character, or just a cute lil animal if that's what you want. I also didn't have a skewer (thought I did at first, so I didn't make the continuous version )so I sorta just held them so they looked dango-ey

Otori-Sama (duck), Boh (mouse), and medium Totoro. This pattern is very versatile and customizable. I would say it is best suited for an advanced beginner and up, however the pattern is clear and easy to follow. These were fun to make and I look forward to making the rest! I used a thin 4wt yarn with 2.25mm hook.

This is an amazing pattern! There were so many options and it's a perfect gift for studio ghibli fans of all ages. It didn't take very long to make, in fact you could probably make it during the span of your favorite ghibli movie. I used premier basix chennile brights yarn (weight 6) and a size 5 hook.
