Lovely by Lee

Amanda Lee is the creative force behind Lovely by Lee. She is not only a passionate teacher, but also a talented knitwear designer and fiber dyer. Since committing to Lovely by Lee full time, she has transitioned to being a “guest” teacher. Additionally, she is a devoted wife and a loving mother. Amanda’s passion for knitting was sparked by her grandmother during her early years. Although she was taught the basics, she eventually developed her own unique knitting style. With a background in sewing and jewelry making, Amanda has always taken pride in crafting her own fashion pieces. Her journey into knitting began in 2014 after the birth of her daughter, when she decided to stay at home after years of teaching. Drawing from her sewing skills, she initially created her own designs and assembled light, cotton tops. After sharing her early creations, she received requests to share her patterns, which led her to transition into a successful knitwear designer. Her love for whimsical and frilly designs reflects her strong connection with her femininity. Amanda Lee believes that fashion should be playful and fun, that’s the magic of style! She designs with passion and hopes that others will enjoy her creations as much as she does. It’s important to her that people feel confident and beautiful in her designs. She focuses on creating designs for various sizes and body types, and often provides alternative patterns for customization and better fit. Amanda’s work encompasses knitwear design, hand-dyeing fiber, writing patterns, and providing knitting how-tos.
