The progress bar shows how much of a pattern you’ve completed - it’s calculated from the lines/rows you mark off in the Ribblr ePattern and updates automatically (and syncs across your devices). You can turn the progress bar off in settings. If you want to reset your progress, scroll to the last part of the pattern and click the 'unmark all lines' to set the progress back to 0%.
