A mandala crochet pattern to create a beautiful eye-catching mandala or wall hanging.The Gidget Mandala was inspired by the Gidget Foundation and the work they do for new parents who are struggling through mental health challenges.
This printable PDF pattern includes round-by-round photos of a 21-round pattern. The pattern is written in US crochet terminology and would suit a confident beginner or intermediate crocheter.
The pattern includes instructions on wrapping a hoop in yarn to create a wall hanging.
Materials and size options used are:
Small - 3.5mm crochet hook & Scheepjes Whirl (60% cotton 40% acrylic). 35 gms/160 meters used. 30cm tip to tip. I did cut the yarn on this one so the colour changes would happen sooner rather than waiting for the natural colour changes to occur.
Medium - 4.5mm crochet hook & approx. 105 gm/210 meters of 10 ply Bendigo Woollen Mills Cotton in colour Parchment. 45 cm tip to tip.
Bulky - 6mm crochet hook & Lion Brand Heartland Yarn (100% acrylic) in colourway Mount Rainier, 140 gms/230 meters used. 50cm tip to tip.
