Inspired by the jewel colours in the yarn, the Paua Shell Mandala combines texture and open stitches to create an eye catching wall hanging mandala or doily.
This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners to intermediate as it uses front and back post stitches, clusters and puff stitches.

The Paua Shell Mandala is a 28 round pattern which can be made to be used as either a traditional doily or mounted onto a hoop to hang on the wall.
The pattern includes instructions for wrapping a metal hoop in yarn to mount the mandala on a wall.

Yarn and hook choice can alter the size of the finished mandala so be sure to complete your mandala before purchasing a ring to fit it.
You will require approximately 100gms of 4ply/fingering weight yarn to complete this pattern. The finished item pictured is mounted onto a 40cm hoop.
