What makes it interactive
Interactive patterns help you follow the project while you make. On Ribblr, ePatterns can support progress tracking, notes, doodles, translation, unit conversion, smart sizing, size-only views, photos, videos, audio, charts and built-in stitch tutorials - depending on what the designer includes. That means the pattern behaves more like a workspace than a static document.
Preview a Ribblr ePatternWhy it matters for different crafts
Different crafts trip us up in different ways. In crochet, I need round and repeat tracking. In knitting, rows and shaping notes matter. In sewing, it's cut pieces and construction order. The shared problem is the same: a static file leaves you to manage context separately.
How it differs from a PDF
A PDF is a fixed document. An interactive pattern is a making workspace. I still like PDFs for printouts, templates or charts, but interactive patterns shine when I want help keeping my place, selecting my size only, using media, and saving progress across devices while I work.
How to try one
Try a free pattern in a craft you already know. Open the pattern page, check materials and media, then make a few rows using the ePattern tools. If you don't have to switch to a separate counter or notes app, you'll feel the difference fast. The Ribblr ePattern manual is a good next read if you want to see the full set of tools.
