This pattern is part of my series called The Art Beneath your Feet, looking at inspiration from street furniture such as cast iron drain covers.

This cowl pattern comes in 2 parts - this is the crocheted version, there is also a knitted version of the same design.

I will also be adding crocheted pot holders and caftiere cosies, as well as knitted socks and a hat pattern to this series.

The fabric of this design is quite solid, so I would recommend using a hook one size up from the one recommended on your ball band.

There are 2 medium difficult stitches that are worked on the same row, the rest is easy - a row of double crochet, and a row of trebles.
