Description
The Emma Sweater is my first raglan sweater, but after making 2 and falling in love with the process, it certainly won't be my last. If you're not familiar with this type of construction, a raglan sweater is created from the top-down meaning that you start working at the neck and progressively work in rounds to make your work wider and longer until you reach the splitting point (where you split your work into sleeves and the body). You then proceed to make the body and sleeves as long as you want which is very convenient since you can try it on as you go and don't have to frog entire panels to adjust! It's safe to say that after designing and making this sweater, I've fallen in love with this kind of construction and am already planning to design many more sweaters like this. However, I think the Emma Sweater will always have a special place in my heart since it's my first raglan sweater design, and I can only hope that you love it as much as I do.
