This pattern is for a scrubbie, that can be used as a makeup scrubbie, a face scrubbie, a dish scrubbie, or as some people I gave one too did, use it as decoration, it is up to your imagination.
The hook/yarn size and the gauge don't matter as long as you have relatively consistent tension. There are two different versions in this patten one for if you have pretty tight tension like me tighter tension one is made to be full and not have holes in it because of the tension, and one if you have looser tension
