In Gaelic, Talamh, means earth, ground, or land. Talamh is pronounced as tolav. Talamh the Earth Troll was inspired by the Earth, simply put. They are tall like a tree, with hair the color of the leaves. Mushrooms sprout from their head, reminding many that the land, ground, and soil, give life.
