Animals of the World


These patterns are for beginner to intermediate crocheters who are familiar with MR, sl st, sc, inc, dec, 3-sc inc, sc3tog, ps-4, FLO, BLO, invisible FO terms tapestry crochet and have some sewing/embroidering skills. The pattern is crocheted in continuous rounds with yarn under (YU) technique, a 2.5 mm (12 - 4/0 - C2) hook, and YarnArt Jeans yarn (50gr-160m, 1.76 oz-174 yards), this way you will end up with 7 cm tall and 4-6.5 cm wide items. Also, the increases and the decreases are made with the invisible technique. Use stitch markers (or a piece of contrasting yarn) for the beginning of the rows.

Read the pattern carefully before you start crocheting.

You can crochet it with YO technique and with the simple increase and decrease too, but the finished item will be slightly different. Use any other kind of yarn just adjust the hook size.

Keep in mind that the measurements are for the specified yarn and hook size.

Abbreviation in the pattern (not explained later):
3-sc inc - 3 single crochet in the same stitch
sc3tog - 3 single crochet together in one stitch
ps-4 - puff stitch (with 4 yarn over)
*...* - work the stiches between with the indicated color of yarn
(...) x... - repeat instructions in parentheses x times
[...] at the end of the row - [total number of stitches]
