This scarf was originally designed to fit the specifications of Operation Gratitude, for their Care Packages. The size requirements from Operation Gratitude are 4-6 inches wide, 48-50 inches long - if you use a US H/5 mm hook, follow the pattern, complete a total of 100 rows, you should meet these size requirements. They do request that you use soft yarn in subtle colors (blues, browns, grays, maroon, greens, black) so they are appropriate for both male and female troops.

Operation Gratitude has delivered more than 2.3 million Care Packages to troops, first responders, veterans, recruit graduates, wounded heroes & caregivers, and military families. These boxes are filled with donated items, and are but a small way to say a BIG thank you for their service and sacrifice.

Pattern is written as an 6" x 70" scarf, but size is easily customizable by changing the starting chain and adding rows, as noted in the pattern details.

YARN: 367 yards (336 meters) worsted weight yarn
HOOK: US I/5.5 mm
