Pattern notes
This crochet sweater is beautifully textured. It's comfortable, unique and cozy. It's an intermediate level pattern. You can crochet it in any size or color combination. You can also easily adjust the pattern to your own preferences making the sweater shorter or longer and adjust the length of sleeves too. Its worked top-down starting with yoke part and then separating the sleeves from the rest of the body and working the three parts separately.
Feel free to use the yarn and matching crochet hook of your choice to make the sweater. The result will be bigger or smaller keeping the same proportion.
Materials
Yarn used: Stylecraft Special DK
White - 1 ball, Cloud Blue - 1 ball, Aster - 1 ball, French Navy - 4 balls for size S/M and 5 balls for size L/XL
4 mm crochet hook.
Stitch marker or piece of yarn.
Tapestry needle.
Scissors.
Abbreviations
CH - chain
SL ST - slip stitch
SC - single crochet
DC - double crochet
FPDC - front post double crochet
DEC - decrease
INC - increase
ST - stitch
STS - stitches
2FPDCTOG - 2 front post double crochet together
2SCTOG - 2 single crochet together
SK ST - skip stitch
LFPTR - Long Front Post Treble - yarn over the hook twice, insert the hook from front to back then from back to front, around the post. Yarn over the hook, pull up the yarn until it's even length to your previous stitch. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on the hook, repeat 3 times. All the LFPTR we will work into the center stitch of the cluster 2 rounds below.
