Description
This pattern will guide you to crochet an adorable amigurumi rhino, as shown in pictures, made using a DK weight cotton / acrylic mixed yarn and crochet hook size D (3 mm).
Finished size will be approx. 6" (15 cm) tall, in sitting position.
If you wish to make a larger or smaller version of this amigurumi, you can just use thicker or thinner yarn with a matching size crochet hook. If so, you will need different amounts of yarn and different size safety eyes than stated in the materials list.
This pattern is also suitable for wool, acrylic or cotton yarn. 'Yarn & Colors Charming' was used to create the rhinos in the pictures.
Skill level: advanced beginner / intermediate
Gauge: not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so the stuffing will not show through the stitches.
Materials used:
- crochet hook size D (3 mm)
- yarn for a grey rhino; grey (approx. 60 gr, 134 yds, 123 m), cream (approx. 4 gr, 9 yds, 8 m)
- fiberfill stuffing, stitch markers, tapestry needle (sharp tip), pins, scissors, tweezers
- 1 pair 10 mm safety eyes, embroidery floss in dark grey, optional: sewing thread in grey
- decoration of personal choice, for example ribbon
Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increasing, decreasing, bobble stitch, magic circle
This crochet pattern is an original ©Millionbells design and is written in English.
