Description
Say ‘Hi’ to the cutest monster in town named Spots ! He will surely capture your heart with his happy spots and wide smile.
This Crochet Patern describes how to crochet a spotted monster amigurumi as shown on pictures. The monster is mostly worked in continuous rounds.
Finished size will be approx. 10.6" (27 cm), crocheted with hook size E (3,5 mm) and acrylic DK/8 ply yarn.
Stylecraft Special was used to create the monster in the picture.
If you wish to make a taller or smaller version of this amigurumi you can just use thicker or thinner yarn / crochet hook. (the pink monster in the picture measures approx. 7" (18 cm) tall and was made using SMC Catania and crochet hook C (2,5 mm))
Gauge is not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so the stuffing will not show through the stitches.
Materials used:
- Crochet hook size E (3,5 mm)
- Fiberfill stuffing, safety eyes 12 mm, 2 small pieces of white felt (for eye - white)
- Yarn; blue (approx. 100 gr, 260 m, 284 yds), small amount of white, for the spots; small amounts of red, green, yellow, pink
- Stitch marker, tapestry needle, pins, optional: white sewing thread, black embroidery floss
Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, bobble stitch (instruction included), working in front - back loops, increasing, decreasing
Skill level: advanced beginner - intermediate
