Knitting pattern for a simple Summer Hat for baby girls. The hat has a roll brim edging, a stripe of colour and an optional crochet flower on the side.

An easy, little Baby Beanie pattern for you to knit yourself.
Simple roll-brim edging so that you can roll the brim up or down as baby grows.

Perfect for newborn and sitter size photo props, or as a gift for a new mum, but these are so quick and easy to make, you will be making a bunch for yourself too.

You need to be able to knit, purl and decrease, and do basic crochet for the flower (optional)
There is a link to an easy video tutorial for the flower. If you don't crochet, you can simply add a big bow or a purchased faux flower.

A sweet little beanie, with a roll brim. The hat is knit loose and stretchy, so that it can grow with your baby.
Simply roll the brim up or down a little as you need it.
If you don't crochet, you can simply add a bow/ fabric flower to the side of the hat instead.
This pattern is knit flat. I usually knit using a circular needle, as I find it faster, but I knit back and forth, not in the round, so you can use either circular needles or straight needles and do the same.
